Breadsmith
of Livonia opened on March 1, 1997. Our goal is to become
Livonia's neighborhood bakery. We employ a dynamic, open
bakery concept that makes it a fun and interesting experience
to visit our micro-bakery. Our decor is open, fresh, clean,
and down-to-earth. Here at Breadsmith of Livonia, our
mission involves more than baking the highest quality,
healthiest breads in the world. We also strive to operate
a socially responsible business.

Our goal is to provide a clean, comfortable "team-oriented"
environment providing growth opportunities to each and
every person that exemplifies the qualities of leadership,

Furthermore, to inform each person of their responsibilities
and provide them with individual and corporate goals and
objectives, incentives to achieve those goals and periodic
reviews of individual and corporate performance against
those goals.
Vendors
To communicate with our vendors making it clear what our
expectations are from them and in return providing them
the appropriate amount of time and consideration to fulfill
our obligations.
Fiscal Responsibility
To be profitable and use fiscal responsibility when making
business decisions. Profitability provides additional
opportunities to each team member to achieve greater personal
and professional growth.
Community
To be philanthropic to the community including the donation
of all unsold bread at day's end to homeless shelters
and food banks. Furthermore, to work with local charities,
churches and other groups to promote their causes. This
benevolence will help us build greater relationships with
customers, enhance our reputation and image and remind
us of our own good fortune.
We offer a wide variety of handmade, hearthbaked breads,
in fact, on most days we offer thirteen different varieties
to choose from! Everyday, we bake a regular line-up of
what we refer to as "daily" breads. These are
classics that are appropriate for any occasion. They include
sourdough, honey white, rustic Italian, and three varieties
of French bread - the baguette, the boule, and French
peasant (a French bread with cracked wheat). We supplement
our daily breads with specialty breads that are produced
throughout the week on particular days. Stop in to our
store and pick up a menu.
In addition to our award winning breads, we offer a delicious
private label jam, an excellent Kalamata olive paste,
high quality bread knives to slice your loaves, and an
extensive line-up of dipping oils. Check out our gift
baskets, now available in three flavors. Our gift baskets
are perfect for dinner party gifts, birthdays or as "thank
you" presents.
We offer free tours to school, scout and community groups
to learn about artisan bread making. Please contact us
if you would like to arrange a tour for your group!
